L’origine de l’exploitation remonte à 1932.

Les bâtiments qui constituent le chai sont très anciens et remonteraient à l’époque où les Anglais occupaient l’Aquitaine. Il semble que les parties les plus anciennes du chai correspondent à une ancienne prison anglaise.

En 1942, Edward CAUSSAN, vint, en se mariant exploiter une vigne qui se nommait comme lui, ainsi que le village…

Dès là, au cours d’échanges entres voisins, l’exploitation s’est agrandie et regroupée.

Le gel historique de 1956 ayant détruit le vignoble, pendant plus d’une décennie, la ferme a vécu en polyculture élevage.

Depuis 1970, la totalité des parcelles a été plantée en vigne pour réaliser l’ensemble existant.
