1906년에 와인이 생산되지 않는 지역인 아라스(Arras)에서 태어난 쥴 아베르랑 (Jules Haverlan)은 물려받은 영지나 농장이 없었습니다. 단지 열정으로 가득차서 와인 메이커가 되는 극단적인 선택을 합니다. 그는 태어나고 자란 북부 지역을 떠나서 남부지역인 비르라드(Virelade) 지역에 있는 샤또 르 부르디요 를 구입합니다.

정말 탁월한 선택이었습니다. : 리치 (Lych) 백작가의 소유였던 이 영지는 1818년도 지도에서 찾아볼수 있습니다.

아베르랑 포도원 (Haverlan Vineyards)의 역사가 시작되는 곳.

쥴의 아들 폴 (Paul)은 포도농장에 대한 열정과 아버지로부터 배운 풍부한 경험을 더하였습니다. 폴의 여섯 자녀 중 한명인 루이(Louis) 가 그후에 물려받았습니다. 능동적이고 열정적인 루이는 농장을 확장하며 포떼 (Portets)지역에서 처음으로 와인병 생산을 시작했습니다. 1956 년 그는 인근 마을의 도멘 데 뤽크 (DOMAINE DES LUCQUES) 라는 농장주의 딸인 테레즈 라콩후르끄(Thérèse Laconfourque)와 결혼했습니다. 후에 이들은 아베르랑이 자라는 샤또 르 부르디요와 도멘 데 뤽크를 물려받았습니다. 할아버지 쥴이 시작한 아베르랑 포도원은 80 년이 지난 1986년에 파트리스 (Patrice)가 계승했습니다.

그 후, 그는 포도농장의 개발에 지속적으로 힘쓰고 있습니다.
